About Our Instrument... Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble currently plays on 7 octaves of Schulmerich bells with another 4 octave set of Schulmerich bells for doubles. In addition, PHE plays 5 octaves of MelodyChime® Instruments and the lower 6th and 7th octave Malmark Choirchime® Instruments. A large number of percussion instruments and a 5 octave set of Petit and Fritsen Bells add to our ensemble's artistic presentation.
